Zorreros of Bogotá
Since the age of ten Miguel Borda rides the improvised coach named “Zorra” through the streets of Bogotá. Beneath the wagon he mounted a speaker amplifying his calls: “We bye everything made of steel, we buy batteries, doors, sinks…”. If the microphone breaks, he used a modified telephone - with a daily income of around ten Euros, there is few space for expenses. Around 3500 “Zorras” not only generate the livelihood of Miguel and his thirteen year old companion Christian, but also of 18.000 other people living in the marginalized areas of the Colombian capital.
